Diet & exercise. That's where it all begins. Dieting is hard, especially if you like good food. But the secret to having a balanced diet is eating healthy food in a good way. Meaning making your food taste well...
Go and search recipes that looks great, but that only contain healthy ingredients. Take the time to prepare your food and enjoy the process. Looking forward to your meal is a good place to start. Especially if that meal was satisfying in the end. I bet you have heard all of the following before, but do yourself the favor and print it out or retype it just so that you know what to do and to actually pull through and do it.
I will give you all the tips you need. Everything I have ever read in expensive diet books and from allot of internet time spent searching for the right diet and exercise programs. Let's start with the diet:
1. The most important concept is that you have to see this diet not as a diet, but in fact a lifestyle change. This will change your life forever. And there is no point in changing your diet only until you have lost the weight, because then you will immediately just pack the pounds back on. You must be prepared to change your life forever.
2. Eat five to six SMALL meals. That does not mean big plates full of food, but small portion sizes. You should be able to hold the portion in your one hand. No more than that. The reason for the five to six portions are that they keep your metabolism going.
3. Now what can I eat? You can eat just what you like, no one will ever be able to change your mind about that. But the big secret is making the healthier decisions. Instead of bread, try provitas or cracker bread. Instead of sugar, add honey to your tea. And when you crave something sweet, eat a sweet peach or your favorite fruit.
4. Try diet sodas instead of the unhealthy type with loads of sugar. Start drinking water, I promise you once you get used to it, you will start craving a glass of water. Coffee is a natural metabolism booster and helps prevent cravings. Just don't drink too much of it. 6 cups a day max.
5. Exercise. Find something you love, like swimming or dancing. Take up a dance class or go for a swim in your nearest public pool. Most schools have the best pools to take your daily swim in. If jogging is to scary for you, take a brisk walk. Walking is the best exercise. Just get active.
These are my top secrets. Try it and check in for more advice tomorrow.

6 Month Goals
My goals for the next 6 months are:
- To lose 10kg (from 74kg to 64kg)
- To buy a new car
- Yo initiate peace between my boyfriend and my mom
- To be up to date on all my debt
- To go on holiday for 2 weeks during December with my boyfriend.
We need goals in life or else we are dead people. We need to set goals for ourselves and give everything to accomplish them. My brain is very strong, I can do anything I put my mind to. I just have to believe that it is possible and then put in the work to reach that goal. I have to fight for what I want or else it won't happen. I healed my brain twice before, that is how strong I am. Now it's my brain's turn to heal my heart. To heal my broken self image. I have to be strong and fight this thing we call failure. I am strong. I have dreams and goals, for now, let's just focus on the 6 months ahead. Be strong and fight for what you want.

My Weight Loss Journey
My weight loss journey starts here. From now on I will post everything I am going through to lose 17 kg. I currently weigh 74 kg and my goal is 57 kg. I have just had a Pizza for lunch... Perfect, I know. But now I am ready to start this journey with you. I am 26 years old and I have to get into better shape if I want to look good (even when I'm older). I love food more than anything so I am not going to give up everything. I believe that's just unhealthy and we need to manage our future weight already by eating the right amounts of every food source we need or even crave.
I will call this the Surfer Girl Diet and will lead you to look and feel great in your bikini. It's very important to exercise while doing this diet, but I will also give you the exercises you need to complete this journey. Seeing that I am starting with this special diet in the middle of the day and the middle of the week, you can start to follow whenever you are ready. I just had a pizza, as I said earlier, so that will keep us solid for the rest of the day. For dinner I will have fish, brown rice with green pepper and a bean salad.
For exercise I will row for 10 minutes, cycle for 20 min and jog for a half an hour. That will be day number one. I will drink a lot of coffee and can have tea if I crave something else. No sugar in the tea. For breakfast I will have some cereal, oats preferably. Enjoy & good luck.

Surfer Girl Style
Winter is difficult to say what a surfer girl would look like. But if you take the example of what we like in summer time it is easy to take examples out of that. Basically it is comfortable loose fitting tops with jeans or tight fitting pants. We like beanies and hooded sweaters. I would say that would narrow down the look...
Nice comfortable sweaters with the loose carefree hair would do the trick.
